Paula Cummings graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Texas Tech University in 2000. She taught History and Language Arts in Amarillo public schools for 6 years. During that time, she received training in Balanced Literacy, Advanced Placement Institute, and The New Jersey Writing Project of Texas.
Mrs. Cummings finds joy in helping students grow in confidence through reading and writing. Her goal is to encourage and equip students with the tools needed to flourish in their God given gifts and abilities.
Mrs. Cummings transitioned to stay at home with her children with the birth of her daughter, Claire. At this same time, she and her husband, Chad, moved to Oklahoma where they were first introduced to the option of home education. Together, they explored this “new to them” concept and were quickly won over by the many benefits. Their love for home education even led them to help other families know these benefits. In 2015 Mrs. Cummings served as the director of Connect Co-Op in Oklahoma City where she also taught a reading and writing workshop. In 2018 she founded and directed The Hub Homeschool Enrichment in Tulsa.
In 2022 the Cummings family moved to Magnolia, TX where they have enjoyed the rich homeschool community. Cole and Caleb, play football for Tomball Christian Warriors and attend classes at both PREP and Tomball Classes for Homeschoolers. Claire is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering through Arizona State University.
In their 26 years of marriage, Chad, Mrs. Cummings, and their children have served in multiple churches and ministries with a desire to share the love of Christ with those around them. Currently, they serve at Harbor Church, a new church plant in Magnolia.
