A bridge to upper level high school mathematics, this foundational course is highly interactive and will help to clarify and strengthen the student’s mathematical understanding from elementary and prepare him or her for the independence of Pre-Algebra and high school math. Focus will be on notetaking and concept building with an emphasis on the use of Integer rules to solve expressions, equations and inequalities.

Mathematics 7 Curriculum Description:

Whole numbers (rounding, exponents, square roots)

Addition/ Subtraction/Multiplication/ Division

Decimals

Fractions (equivalent, add/subtract/multiply/divide)

Number Theory (factors/ multiples, GCF, LCM)

Prime/Composite

Rational Numbers(ratios, proportions, rate, percent)

Measurement

Geometry (similar/congruent, circumference)

Surface Area/ Volume

Probability

Integers

Intro to Algebra (relations/functions/expressions/inequalities)

This class will meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday.

Textbook: BJU Fundamentals of Math Student Worktext (3rd Ed.)

Tuition: $700/year or $70 per month (Lump sum or paid out in 10 monthly installments)

Non-refundable Supply Fee: $70/year: DUE TO MS. BAKKEN UPON REGISTRATION WITH PREP CLASSES TO SECURE YOUR CHILD’S PLACE IN THE CLASS.

Drop Fee after September 15 will be 3 months tuition.

Drop Fee after December 15 will be the remaining year’s tuition.
