This final middle school math course will help students take what they have learned and begin to apply it independently in preparation for high school math. Students entering Pre- Algebra should be prepared to analyze real world situations and write and solve algebraic problems in preparation for Algebra I.
Pre-Algebra Curriculum Description:
Decimals/Fractions in Problem-Solving
GCF/LCM Prime Factorization
Problem-Solving with Integers
Writing/Solving Algebraic Expressions/Equations
Forms of Rational Numbers/Ratios/Proportions
Geometry (polygons, angle relationships/Pythagorean Theorem)
Polynomials (+ - x ÷)
This class will meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Textbook: BJU Pre- Algebra (2nd Ed.)
Tuition: $700/year or $70/month for 10 months
Non-refundable Supply Fee: $65/year; due to Ms. Bakken upon registration with PREPCLASSES.
Drop Fee after September 15 will be 3 months tuition.
Drop Fee after December 15 will be the remaining year’s tuition.
