It is imperative that any student registering for Algebra 2 be very proficient in their Algebra 1 skills.  If you have questions about class placement, please contact me as early as possible so that decisions may be made in a timely manner to allow the student maximum success in their math studies.

  • Extension of Algebra I skills
  • Real-life applications of math, including construction, engineering, sports, and video skills.
  • Probability and statistics
  • Matrices and logarithms
  • Conic sections
  • Sequences and Series
  • Quadratic expressions and equations
  • Trigonometry (Introduction)
  • SAT/ACT preparation throughout the year, skills essential for standardized testing.
  • Organization and study skills, to be a more independent student
  • Development of logical reasoning and thinking skills

Students should expect to spend as much time outside of class on their work as they do attending class per week. The class meets 2 hours on one day a week and 1½  hours on the second day for the week, for a total of 3½ hours per week. This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math.

Tuition Deposit:  $100 (refundable before August 1)  This is the first month’s tuition.

Tuition Installments:  $100 per month (Sept-Feb:  6 months)

Student is NOT registered for the class until the Deposit/First Month’s tuiton and Supply Fee have been paid.  

NOTE:  This is a two-day / week class.
