This class is appropriate for students who have successfully completed a year of Pre-Algebra and have strong problem-solving skills. Class time will be spent teaching algebra concepts and applications. Students must be able to take detailed notes (quickly) from the board and copy examples worked in class to review at home. Students will use the textbook as a resource for reference, daily homework assignments, and test review.

Often, we will apply concepts to real-life situations.  Students will be expected to complete word problems.   Graphing will be integrated into the teaching.   Students should expect to spend as much time outside of class on their work as they do attending class per week. The class meets 2 hours one day a week and 1½  hours on the second day of the week, for a total of 3½ hours per week. This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math.

Tuition Deposit:  $100 (refundable before August 1).  This is the first month’s tuition. 

Tuition Installments:  $100 per month (Sept-Feb:  6 months)

Student is NOT registered for the class until the Deposit (First Month’s Tuition) and Supply Fee have been paid.  

NOTE: This is a two-day / week class (Monday and Wednesday).
