Using a hands-on approach to make history come alive, my desire in this course is to help your child become passionate about God’s faithful interaction through all the details in American history. We will follow a systematic approach to the class as students read the text and writings, review the lessons, complete maps, and follow  a timeline. In our class time together, we will be doing performance-based activities that will include the following:  quizzes, mini- speeches, reports, plays, games, lap books, and other group oriented history activities.

Books to purchase:  America the Beautiful Series, Second Edition, by the Notgrass  Company –purchase the entire  America the Beautiful  curriculum package (NOT the literature package).  In addition to the curriculum package, purchase the Lesson Review book for $11 that accompanies America the Beautiful. (the Student Workbook is not needed, just the Lesson Review book)

Book Description:  America the Beautiful by Charlene Notgrass is a one-year American history, geography, and literature course.  Beginning with life in America before the Europeans came and continuing through to modern times, this series is a fabulous, God-inspired approach to learning American history.
