NOTE:  This is a two-day / week class.

It is imperative that any student registering for Geometry be very proficient in their Algebra 1 skills.

If you have questions about class placement, please contact me as early as possible so that decisions may be made in a timely manner to allow the student maximum success in their math studies.

Topics covered:

• Mathematics dealing with points, lines, planes, and solids
• Properties, measurement, and mutual relation of geometry in space
• Geometric proofs and constructions
• Development of logical reasoning and thinking skills
• Application of geometry through word problems and visuals
• Organization and study skills, to be a more independent student
• SAT/ACT preparation throughout the year, skills essential for standardized testing.

Students should expect to spend as much time outside of class on their work as they do attending class per week. The class meets 2 hours  one day each week and 1½  hours on the second day of the week, for a total of 3½ hours per week. This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math.

Tuition:  $700/year covers both classes per week   ($675 if paid in full by the first day of classes)

Deposit:  $100 (refundable before August 1)

Supply Fee:  $50 (non-refundable)

Installments:  $100 per month (Sept-Feb)

Student is NOT registered for the class until the Deposit and Supply Fee have been paid.
