This class is designed to offer your child a hands-on, interactive year of discovery and serves as a launching point into PREP's comprehensive science program. Looking through a biblical lens, students will develop an appreciation of God as Creator as they study Earth (solar system, weather, rocks and minerals), Life (cells, plants, animals, ecosystems), and Physical Sciences (matter, force, electricity).
The lessons will be centered around a weekly reading assignment, as well as pages to be completed in the student activity manual. Your child will participate in class discussions, group and individual activities, STEM activities, and experiments.
Quizzes will be given after the appropriate section under the teacher’s discretion. Tests will be given at the end of each unit. Tests may be given at home or in the classroom, depending on what is going on in class that week.
