This class is designed to offer your child a hands-on, interactive year of discovery and will build a foundation for further study in upper level sciences. Looking through a biblical lens, students will develop an appreciation of God as Creator as they study characteristics of living things, insects and spiders, plants, forces and machines, electricity and magnetism, light, the moon, water and oceans, the earth's resources and the digestive and skeletal systems.
The lessons will be centered around a weekly reading assignment, as well as pages to be completed in the student activity manual. Your child will participate in class discussions, group and individual activities, experiments and special projects. Students should set aside additional time each week to prepare for regular chapter tests.
