This pre-calculus course is the culmination of all math courses, with the addition of Trigonometry. Students learn how algebra and geometry are related and applied in the real world.
Students who complete this class should be well prepared to enter a college level calculus course. It is imperative that students enrolling in PreCal have a working knowledge of Geometry and Algebra 2. This is a very fast-paced class. Teacher recommendation is required for this class. If you have questions about class placement, please contact me as early as possible so that decisions may be made in a timely manner to allow the student maximum success in their math studies.
Withdrawal after September 30th will result in a drop fee of 3 month’s tuition. Withdrawal after December 15th will require payment of full tuition for the remainder of the school year.
For all monthly tuition paid after the first week of the month, a $10 late fee will be assessed.
To reserve your student’s place in the class, you need to pay the Supply Fee ($50) and the first month’s tuition ($100). [Tuition covers both class days.]
Students should expect to spend 3 – 6 hours outside of class on their work per week. The class meets 1½ hours on Monday and 1½ hours on Wednesday for a total of 3 hours per week. This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math.
