In this class, students will study various aspects of physical, life and earth sciences including earthquakes and volcanoes, weather and erosion, natural resources, cells and organisms, animal and plant classification, matter and energy, electricity and magnetism, the solar system, plant and animal reproduction, heredity, the nervous system and the immune system. Each topic is discussed within a Biblical worldview. Students will develop critical thinking skills through the application of scientific knowledge in experiments, demonstrations, small group activities, discussions, lab manual worksheets and special projects.  The last project of the year will be an in-class Science Fair.

The lessons will be centered around a weekly reading assignment, as well as pages to be completed in the student activity manual.  Students should set aside additional time each week to prepare for regular chapter tests.

Please have materials in hand at least one week before classes start as students will have a reading assignment due the first day of class.

Other supplies required will be detailed at the PREP Orientation.

Prerequisite: Student must be at least 11 years old and read and write at a 6th grade level.

Tuition:  Monthly tuition is due the first class of each month.  Late tuition will incur a late fee of $5 per week.  For students who drop the class after September 30, three month's tuition will be required as a drop fee.  For students who drop the class after December 15, tuition for the remainder of the year is required as a drop fee.
