Systems of equations will be stressed. We will also continue to work with exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions will be introduced in the spring semester and studied in depth, continuing with analytic trigonometry and appropriate applications. Students who do well in this class should be prepared to test into a college-level calculus course.

A teacher recommendation is required to take this class.  A family interview may be required as well.

A graphing calculator will be used in this class; the TI84 is recommended. The text must be purchased before class begins. A student workbook must also be purchased. A summer assignment will be given to be completed before the first day of class. Spiral notebooks, graph paper, graphing tools, and pencils and erasers will also be used.
